cloverfield

On Friday or Saturday I watched the movie 'Cloverfield' which I rented from netflix.
I give it three to maybe three and a half stars.
I wouldn't say that it was a great movie, but it wasn't a bad movie either.
A monster attacks new york city and a group friends try to get out and throughout the whole thing their recording it with their camcorder.
Like I said, I give it three to maybe three and a half stars.

NUMBERS

I forget what season Numbers is on.
I think it might be season six.
I have watched most of season on netflix and I'm not really all that crazy about Numbers anymore.
I used to watch numbers on Friday night with my mom but I guess I have just gotten tired of numbers.
I give Numbers three stars.

NCIS: season three.

Ncis is in its third season, I think.
I have watched the third season of NCIS on netflix but the whole season has not been released onto netflix yet.
Maybe I should check to see if I can rent the third season of netflix on dvd yet...It wouldn't make sense if it was released onto dvd already since the third season hasn't ended yet.
Anyways the last one that was released to watch on netflix was the christmas one and I think that was during the second week of December.
Of all of the crime dramas on tv, the only one that I'm really interested in right now is NCIS and I really like it.
So for right now I give NCIS 4.50 stars to 4.75 stars.

Jericho

I watched the first season of Jericho online at netflix and I really thought it was amazing.
A while back after the end of the first season there was all this fuss about the tv show of Jericho being cancelled after only one season and with fans of the show mailing packages of nuts to the tv company that wanted to cancel the show...I didn't watch the show until recently but now I know why.
Jericho was such an amazing show!
I watched both the first and second season of Jericho on netflix which didn't include any of the extras that I hope will be included in the dvds so I'm really looking forward to renting the dvd's.
Jericho really was an amazing show and I think its a shame that its gone now.
I give first and second season of Jericho six stars!

Hereos: third season.

I think I have already mentioned this before but I have recently watched a lot on netflix.com.
The tv series that I just finished up watching was the third season of Hereos.
Some of the reviews that I have read have not been very kind to Hereos which I thought was a little misleading.
I was very satisfied with the third season of Hereos and I am looking forward to the upcoming season.
I am looking forward to renting the third season of Hereos on dvd from netflix because I want to see what kind of extras they are going to include.
A year or two ago I watched the first and second season of Hereos on netflix as well and I do recall really likeing those as well.
Eventually I will rent the entire seasons of Hereos from netflix and I will post my reviews of those as well.
I give the third season of Hereos, as viewed on netflix.com, a four out of five stars.

Pan's Labyrinth

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan

In the past month or so I have watched a whole bunch online at netflix and Pan's Labyrinth was one of them.
I don't really know how to explain it other than that it was like a fairy tale for adults.
I liked it and I would reccomend that you watch it if you get the chance...
I just wish I didn't have to read the subtitles because it was in Spanish.
The link that I posted near the top is a link to the wikipedia page that gives a very good explanation to the movie.
I give the movie almost four stars.
Its really close to four stars, like 3.9999999 close.

Perfume, the story of a murderer.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perfume_(film)
I give this movie a four out of five stars.
Its based on a novel written by some guy from Austria I think.
I haven't read the book and unfortunately I probably won't get the opportunity to do so.
Anyways, the movie is a about a man from Paris that is born with an acute sense of smell and in order to create the most amazing perfume in the world he resorts to killing young women and somehow using their natural scent to create that perfume.
Okay I guess if you really want to watch this movie then you probably shouldn't read the rest of this.
I think the main character has to kill seven women in order to make his perfume and during the very last murder he is discovered but he succedes in creating his perfume.
As he is going up the steps to the gallows he releases some of the perfume and the pope or priest who is residing over the execution is so overcome by the scent that he declares the murderer an angel.
The entire crowd is overcome by the scent as well.
I think the murderer then releases more of the scent and the father, who happens to be rich and powerful, of the last young woman that was murdered for this purfume then becomes overcome by the scent and kneels at the feet of the murderer.
The crowd that gathered to watch the execution then all have sex with each other, including the pope.
After this the murderer goes back to the marketplace where he was born and he sees a group of homeless people standing around by the fire.
He then pours the rest of the perfume on top of his head and the homeless people, some young women and some of them are young men, are over come by the scent and they go over to the murderer.
At first it looks like they just kiss him and say he's an angel or something but by the end of the scene it shows that they ripped him apart and left nothing of him.

Introduction to this blog.

I will post my thoughts and opinions on the movies that I have watched and the books that I have read on this blog.
I subscribe to netflix but I am not promoting anyone particular company or business, netflix just happens to be the company from whom I get my movie fix from.
The scale that I use to judge the movies and books that I review on here is very complicated.
The media that I review on here will be judged on a scale from one to five stars with five being the best and one being the worst.
If I read or watch something that I feel is just the most absolutely amazing thing ever then I may award six stars, but I don't anticipate that to happen too often.
Likewise, in the opposite manner if I watch a movie or read a book that i feel is absolutely the worst ever I will award an zero or a negative star count.
I really hope I don't have to award a zero or worse.
Furthermore... A five star count is the best, one star count is the worst, and three stars is an okay movie.
If a movie scores between three and a half stars and six stars then I would say that its worth seeing in my opinion.
