I just finished watching disc two of the James Bond movie 'Casino Royale'.
It was released in 2006 or 2005 and its about the first book by Ian Fleming by the same name as the movie.
I believe the book was writen in the 1950's but this movie doesn't actually take place in the same time frame as the book is writen.
I liked the movie so I think I would like to eventually read Ian Fleming's books, but I have such a long list of books that I want to so I may never get to these books.
Anyways, I liked the movie and I felt that the dvd's were well put together so I give the dvd's of 'Casino Royale' a score of 85 out of 100.
The movie is about James Bond when he first starts out as a "double o" agent, and he of course is called oo7.
I have never seen the James Bond movies, although I have heard of them, so if your new to the James Bond movies then I would recommend this one.
On a side note, I just started watching the cable tv show 'Rescue Me' and I actually really like it.
My only complaint about it is that there is sex but you don't see the Real nudity.
I have also started to watch the new cable tv show Spartacus: Blood and Sand.
I kind of have mixed feelings about it, I like it but I also kind of think its a little bit corny.
Some of women that they have on that show are very attractive, and they show lots of sex and violence.
Both of the tv shows I have been watching on netflix.

Avatar and No Country for Old Men
I just finished watching the dvd, that I rented from netflix, of the movie 'No Country for Old Men'.
The movie by its self I would rate as 85 out of 100, but the dvd as a whole wasn't as great.
The dvd was really good, but it wasn't really great.
The dvd contained the movie, some trailers for other movies, and three "real" extras.
The trailers for the other movies were included in the extras section but those weren't really extras, they were advertisements so I didn't really care if they were there or not.
Besides that, they were advertisements that I essentially paid for because I paid to rent this dvd...I paid to watch the movie, not commercials.
Anyways, the "real" extras weren't all that bad, but there wasn't enough of them.
The first extra was probably 20-30 minutes long and it was pretty much just a basic "making of" documentary that you pretty much expect to see on a dvd.
And then the other two were under ten minutes each and they were worth watching but I wouldn't stay up later just to watch these extras.
As far as extras for a dvd go I expect, but don't always watch two things.
The first thing would be a making documentary of the movie, that would involve brief interviews with the main people involved.
I'm not saying I want to see interviews with the catering people although that could potentially be funny or at least very awkward, I want to see the cast and the directors and producer people.
The second thing I want to see on the extras part is commentary of the movie with the people that I just mentioned.
Now when I first started renting dvd's I wouldn't watch the commentary because I thought it would be boring and I was usually pressed for time, but now I still feel the same way sometimes but most of the time when I watched the commentary I feel that it was worth the time...but sometimes I just find it so boring that I stop watching the commentary altogether.
And if it was a movie that had a lot of special effects then I want to know about that sort of stuff too.
And what I would like to see in the extras part of a dvd that I hardly ever see is interviews regarding the movie with the stars of the movie.
There was not a commentary track for the movie, although the extras that were on the dvd were really good so I give the dvd of 'No Country for Old Men' 75 out of 100.
On Christmas day I went to see Avatar with my aunt (one of my mom's sister's) and her family and my mom and little brother.
It was my first time seeing a movie in 3-d with the weird glasses.
I also had never gone to the movies on Christmas day but apparently its one of the movie theaters busiest days.
The movie was amazing, there were several times were I had a hard time holding back tears.
I remember reading something about, or maybe it was even an interview that I saw on tv with one of the actors and they said that movie wasn't just about action and science fiction but it was also a love story, and I think they were right.
It wasn't just about a love story between the two main characters but also it was a love story between the "blue people" and their planet.
I don't know if the movie was just available in 3-d or if you could see it in regular movie theaters, but I would suggest that you see it in 3-d...don't bother with the regular one.
I give the movie Avatar a score of 98 out of 100.
I would of given a higher score but I hate going to the movie theater because I can't just hit pause so I can get up and use the bathroom and/or get a refill on my pop.
Also, I can't wait to see dvd because I'm curious to see all the extras that they include.

the perfect witness and mr and mrs smith
I just finished watching the movie 'The perfect witness, the ungodly' on the netflix website...
It was released in 2007 or 2008 and the people at wikipedia haven't even heard about it so I am going to have to tell you about this great movie instead of just posting a link to the wikipedia page of the movie like I normally do.
Its a horror movie and there is some nudity, drug use, a rape scene, and of course violense.
This guy, who it turns out is a former drug addict, is amaeture video person who starts tracking a killer so he can do a movie on him and then just by dumb luck he actually catches the killer in the act and video tapes it.
The killer catches him and chases him down the street but doesn't catch the guy.
The guy that is trying to make the movie is named Mickey.
So Mickey then trys to blackmail the killer into doing interviews for his movie, and the killer goes along with it until he captures Mickey's mom.
From there Mickey gets into trouble...
I don't want to give away too much of the movie because I think it is actually worth watching so I give the movie a score of 90 out of 100.
I really liked the movie 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith'.
But I didn't like it as much as I liked The perfect witness so I give the dvd of Mr and Mrs Smith a score of 80 out 100.
Now that I think about maybe there is a second dvd for the Mr and Mrs Smith movie, in which case I would have to change the score.
The movie its self is really good for an action movie.
I have seen Brad Pitt's movies before so I know that he is a talented actor, but I think this is the first time I have seen Angelina Jolie in a movie...
I was really surprised by her acting skill.
But on the other hand this was an action movie.

01/05/2010...I first wrote this awhile ago for and for some reason I didn't publish it right away.
The movie 'The Perfect Witness' was a really good movie and I would recommend it if you like suspense/horror movies, but I would like to change my opinion about the Mr and Mrs Smith movie.
I don't remember how much extras were available on the Mr and Mrs Smith dvd but I do remember that there was at least two commentary tracks that went along with it and I think I only watched one of the commentary tracks, or maybe I watched all of them...I don't really remember.
But now that I have seen some other movies since then I would rank Mr and Mrs Smith lower than what I first ranked it, maybe 75 or 70 out of 100.
Keep in mind also that the movie 'The Perfect Witness' was just the movie without any extras because I watched it on the previously mentioned website.

walk the line
Last week I finished watching that Johnny Cash movie that came out awhile ago.
I liked the movie, it was entertaining but the movie seemed to centered on Johnny Cash's love affair with June Carter and his drug addiction.
I don't know for sure but I would like to think that there was more to the man in black than just that.
I mean, he was around during some very turbulent times and the movie pretty much ignores those times.
Anyways, I watched the movie all the way through without the commentary and then I also watched the movie with the commentary but I only got half way through because I became bored.
I liked the movie but there just wasn't enough interesting extras on the dvd so I give the dvd a score of 75 out of 100.

Quarantine
I just finished watching the movie Quarantine on the netflix website.
I don't think it was really the scariest movie I have ever seen but it was really entertaining.
I watched the movie because I didn't get a chance to watch any scary movies on saturday which was Halloween night.
I give the movie Quarantine a score of 80 out of 100 because I thought it was a really good movie.
Here is a wikipedia entry about the movie:

Blood Diamond
I just finished watching the movie 'Blood Diamond'. I thought it was a really good movie and it came on two different dvd's. The first dvd had the movie and a commentary on the movie and the second dvd had documentaries about what it took to make the movie. I think this is Leonardo di Caprio's most recently movie, and I think he was very convincing. Like I said before, I thought it was a really good movie, but part of me feels that there could of been more two the second dvd. I mean if your going to package it as a two dvd set then I kind of would of expected there to be a lot more, but I feel that both dvd's are worth the time so I give the two dvd set of the movie 'Blood Diamond' a score of 90 out of 100.
